My name is Tess Morgan and this is my story.

I was born in Oregon as a member of the Gemini coven. My parents left the coven soon after I was born.

To understand why, we’ll have to go back a bit.

The coven leader’s son Kai was born without any magic of his own. If he wants to do magic, he has to siphon it out of something or someone. His unique power to siphon magic labeled him an outcast. He was treated poorly by everyone. It’s no surprise he went psycho and massacred his siblings.

When my parents discovered that I was born a siphon just like Kai, they left the coven and moved to the other side of the country so I wouldn’t be treated like an outcast when the rest of the coven found out.

If the coven leader’s treatment of his own son was bad enough to make him the way he is, how much worse would he treat me?

My dad was born and raised in Florida so we moved there. Mom was the witch, dad was human. Or so we thought…

When I was 17, my friend Lori and I got into a car accident after a wolf ran out into the road. Lori died and I triggered my werewolf curse.

Dad didn’t know he had the gene because he never triggered the curse and my grandparents never triggered theirs either.

When I was 19, Klaus Mikaelson found me and turned me into one of his hybrids. Klaus brought me to Mystic Falls, Virginia. I kept my siphon power a secret from everyone the whole time I was living there.

When Klaus found out he was going to be a father, I knew he had it in him to one day find peace. While all the other members of his sire line hated his guts, I didn’t. I could feel it in my gut that this baby would be his redemption. Elijah knew it too.

I told Klaus about my witch heritage and my siphon ability because I knew that one day, I would be the only one that could help the little Mikaelson.

I didn’t hear from Klaus for awhile. He was in New Orleans, doing his own thing. I was feeding on a guy outside the Mystic Grill when Rebekah called me and said she needed a witch to cloak her and Klaus’s daughter Hope.

I agreed right away.

Rebekah told me that they had to fake Hope’s death in order to protect her. I didn’t ask who from. I can only imagine the number of powerful enemies Klaus has made over the past 1,000 years.

When Hope no longer needed to be cloaked, I decided to move to New Orleans to be closer to them.

I kept moving back and forth between Mystic Falls and New Orleans for years. Mostly because Klaus wanted me to keep an eye on Caroline. I rented an apartment in both cities and kept going back and forth every month or two.

When Klaus and Hayley enrolled Hope in the Salvatore school, Klaus gave Alaric my contact information and told him to call me when Hope activates her vampire and werewolf sides one day.

I was in New Orleans when I got a call from Alaric. He said that not only had Hope become a fully activated tribrid, but she had also turned his daughter Lizzie into a heretic.

I moved back to Mystic Falls and Alaric had arranged for me to work at the Salvatore school.

And here we are, in the present, approaching the front gates of the Salvatore school.

I walk through the gates and up to the front door where Caroline invites me in and takes me to her office to brief me on the job I’m supposed to do.

Caroline calls Hope into her office and when Klaus’s littlest wolf walks into the room, her eyes immediately land on me.

Lizzie bursts through the door at that moment.

We find Raph in his old room that he used to share with Landon.

Hope and Lizzie set up a summoning circle and it doesn’t take long for Landon to appear.
